The Cheap Way to Travel

Travelling is a time to have fun, to be care free and to enjoy new experiences. The sad thing, however, is that travelling is also one of the easiest ways to become broke. Thankfully, however, travelling is not some mathematical problem with only one solution. Rather, it is a leisure activity that you can do in any way that suits you. To help you solve the financial problem associated with travelling, we will discuss here two of the most cost–saving ways to travel.

One of the ways to save money on a trip is to travel during off–season. If you are brave enough to take the road less travelled during the low season, be prepare to face a less desirable weather. Although there will be less activities to expect, you can still have a great time because there will be few tourists, making the place somewhat exclusive at a lesser price.

Another way to travel cheaply is to go couch surfing. Does the phrase ring any bell? But hey, this is not some kind of activity that involves the sea and the couch. Couch surfing is an alternative accommodation for both domestic and international travellers. It involves arranging to sleep on the couch or spare bedroom of a local in your destination for free or for a cheap pay. This can easily be done by signing in to couch–surfing networks on the Internet. A good couch–surfing directory will be able to provide you plenty of resources and information about your host. Generally, couch surfing is a safe way to travel since the agencies providing this service are careful about the residents they include in their list. However, if you do not feel comfortable staying in the home of a stranger, then search for other cheap accommodations instead.
